About The Book
This book is written for everyone. From young adults to caretakers, to grandparents. The experiences we share are real and raw and our wish is for mutual respect despite each other’s differences. Our stories are a joyful celebration of friendship between two women whose hope is for a future marked by compassion. Let’s work together to create a future filled with empathy for one another.
A Peek Inside
A rainbow is only beautiful because of all its colors. We must value our differences and recognize our enormous amount of similarities.
Key Points Covered In This Book
Motherhood and a mother's experience transcends race. Despite any and all apparent differences and backgrounds, all mothers share identical life experiences.
Motherhood is a powerful platform that can be used to ignite the change that we want to see in the world.
Accept people for who they are and not what they are. Once you recognize that we are all created equally you have arrived.
My name is Lori Falkenstein and I have a Bachelor of Science Degree in Medical Technology. I currently work part time in a clinical laboratory in Chemistry, Hematology and Immunohematology. This is where Renee and I met. My career has been blessed. I have had the opportunity to work in several industries, including the National Institutes of Health (NIH) and at a reference laboratory. I married my high school sweetheart, and we have four children. I have also had the blessing of being the Chief Operating Officer of our family as a stay-at-home mom. Although I try to learn from all of my experiences, those I’ve had while raising my kids have taught me the most. In my spare time I love to volunteer in my community. I also love to read, visit new places, listen to all kinds of music and dance when the opportunity arises. Peace.
Our bond is through the miracle of motherhood.
My name is Renee M. Reed I have an Associate Degree in Science for Medical Laboratory Technology. I have over 22 years of experience in my field of clinical laboratory science. I have had the opportunity to gain most of my experience from The American Red Cross National Testing Laboratory (NTL). And from my current position as a blood banker at Riddle Hospital. I am proud to say I am a mother, a stepmother, and a grandmother of some amazingly beautiful people. I married my high school sweetheart and we have four children together. I am lucky to have a stepson who I adore. I love to dance, go to the beach and to travel. My mantra is that “the rest of my life will be the best of my life”. I will spend all of my days living with purpose, peace and most of all love.
